Ricardo and Esther are now in the USA. They have children in Idaho and in San Antonio, not to mention a daughter and her family in Puebla, Mexico. So their hearts are pulled in several directions. Pray for them as they adjust to life in the USA. They have located in Lynden, Washington. Esther cared for her sister, who lived in the same apartment complex, for several months before the dear sister went on to be with the Lord. Now Ricardo and Esther are settling in to life in Lynden and being used by the Lord in various venues. Read below a summary of their history. Dear Friends and Prayer Partners, Good news! ! ! Ricardo’s residency has been accepted. Thank you for praying specifically for this long difficult procedure. PAST: Esther: I graduated from High School in Nyssa, OR in l952. That summer I went to Los Angeles for a short term of soul-winning and Bible training, the beginning of my preparation for the mission field. I attended Bible College in Santa Barbara, CA for two years, but during the summers I worked with the mission school as counselor and active in soul winning leadership with the youth camps. I stayed in Los Angeles the following year with the mission headquarters working and active in ministry with the youth department. I became a licensed missionary in March of l955. Traveling, visitation and preparation brought me to my goal, the mission field. I arrived at our Mexico City mission school and training center in Oct. of "55. The first day I arrived in Mexico City, I met Ricardo, one of the advanced ministry students. Ricardo: Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, the third of four brothers, was raised in a good moral, God fearing and loving home. He followed the career of auto mechanic. In ‘51 he went to Monterrey for work. It was there that one of his coworkers shared the Gospel with him in many consistent ways. Ricardo finally went to church with Luis and he was delivered from alcoholism. Being grateful to the Lord, Ricardo began going to church but still not a true Christian. One day he attended a meeting where a missionary lady, Francis Angles was teaching on "how to win souls". Ricardo understood of his need for a Savior and received Christ. Ricardo began to be active and train for service even though he put in long hours. He was called by the Lord for full time service and left his job in Monterrey, went to the Mexico City training center and school to further his preparation for the ministry. One year from the time I went to Mexico, Ricardo and I were married on Oct. 28th in l956. We continued our ministry in Church Planting and training leaders together until we left Mexico the beginning of this year of 2005. We have spent more then 50 fruitful years in ministry: All to our Lord’s honor and glory. PRESENT: Our transition from Mexico to the States was long and difficult, but so thankful for prayers and encouragement. We were both very stressed and Ricardo quite weak, still from his accident and it took time to gain back our strength. We are here in San Antonio spending extra time in Bible study, reading, praying and intercessory prayer for ministry in Mexico and for our families, both in Mexico and the States. We’ve been able to enjoy our kids and grandchildren also. We are thankful that we can rest in the Lord for the present and for our future. FUTURE: We may be going north next spring to be close to our daughter Ruth and her family, but waiting on God’s complete guidance and provision when we are ready to take this next big step. We continue trusting in Him as we have for so many years. Ministry: We are not looking for extra ministry at this time, only available to our Lord for what He has for us when He directs. We plan to continue being with family here in the San Antonio, TX until we go north to Idaho. Our hearts overflow with praises and gratitude to Him and to you who have backed us up and continue to do so. We wish you a very special and blessed Holiday season celebrating our dear Lord and what He has done for us. We sign off with love and prayers, Make all donations for us and our ministry payable to: Missions Support Team and designate for Ricardo and Esther Brambila.
