Missions Support Team invites you to join the team in standing behind these valuable third world missionaries. There are thousands of missionaries from developing nations who sacrifice much to take the Gospel to the lost. In the same way that western businessmen invest in the development of commerce in these countries, we as Christians can invest in spreading the eternal gospel. Below you will find some of the needs that we see as most urgent at this time. If you would like to support in an ongoing basis or send a one time gift, please send any contributions to the address below. Make checks out to MST and write the designation on the envelope or on a separate slip of paper. Missions Support Team PO Box 277 Waxahachie TX 75168
Present Needs for your attention are as follows: Oswaldo and Susana Cadena are ministering in churches in northern Ecuador and need finances to be able to travel between their place in Quito and the towns where they are needed. Praise the Lord! The following request has been answered. Dale and Janis were in Ecuador March 18th-June 16th and they were traveling in the vehicle that some of you helped to provide for Sigfredo Carrion. Sigfredo Carrion pastors a church of more than three hundred persons and helps in some of the daughter churches scattered throughout the south of Ecuador. He trains leaders who in turn work with the various ministries of the main Cuenca church. He is in need of a more reliable vehicle. MST has gathered about half of what is needed for that vehicle. We would like to be able to send the full amount to him by January 2008.
Sigfredo beside the car you helped to buy You can’t imagine how helpful this vehicle was for us during our three months in Ecuador. It’s a 1997 Chevrolet Rodeo 4-wheel drive. Ecuador was in another “El Niño” rainy season, so the 4-wheel drive was essential on the dangerous mountain roads. Sigfredo also goes out into the villages, so it will get lots of good use for years to come. Through you the Lord provided enough to pay for the vehicle and for two new tires. Thank you so much for listening to the Lord and responding! Gonzalo Carrion has been in church planting ministry for years. He travels to mountain villages several times a week, where he has raised up churches. Recently he and his ministry have come under heavy persecution. The Lord did a miracle in that when the mob was looking for him to stone him, he was right in the middle of them and they couldn't see him! Missions Support Team supports him in an ongoing way. If you would like to contribute to this ministry, please follow the instructions above. Carlos Bermeo and his family are experiencing a real depression financially. They serve the Lord in church-planting, evangelizing, and prison ministry. He tries to add to their support by buying and selling used cars. However, the economy in Ecuador is depressed and so when he has a car for sell doesn't necessarily sell right away. When there is no sale, they are left in real need. Where do they go but to the Lord to supply their needs? We bring the need before you for your prayerful consideration. Oscar and Maria are a Spanish couple who are ministering to North African Muslims in Spain. He has AIDS, but has been serving the Lord for more than a dozen years and God has kept him alive. Because of their love for the Muslims they have risked their safety in trips to North Africa to help the persecuted church there. They also work with North Africans who have settled in Spain. The Lord has blessed their efforts. Their support is insufficient.
